About Us

Group9

This website was created by people who believe that if you experience same-sex attraction, you have options on how to live your life—including identity and sexual behavior.

This website presents options and practical solutions that have been experienced by thousands of people in their lives. It contains writings from a variety of people from a variety of religious backgrounds. We have developed this website to help you by referring to the experiences we have had. Since our motivation was primarily spiritual, we openly discuss the spiritual aspects.

Most of the theories, approaches, and ideas on this site relate to men. Much of this information may also be helpful to women who experience same-sex attraction and some of it may not.

Throughout this website, we give examples of how people have dealt with particular issues. In all cases, these examples involve real people and real events, although some of the names have been changed to protect identities.

If you have questions or comments about this website, see the contact us page.

What We Stand For

We Support Personal Choice

People who experience same-sex attraction have the right to direct the course of their lives congruent with their values and religious beliefs. We recognize there are a variety of ways to respond to same-sex attraction. We respect the choice of people to not self-identify as gay, to avoid same-sex sexual behavior, and to pursue a traditional heterosexual life. People have found these alternatives to be positive, self-affirming, and congruent with their values and beliefs.

We Support Client Self-Determination

Individuals conflicted over their same-sex attractions have the right to decide whether to seek professional counseling or therapy, what kind of counseling to seek, and to determine the desired direction of their therapy program. We support client’s right of self-determination.

We Advocate Tolerance

Regardless of the choices people make regarding sexual identity and lifestyle, people deserve to be valued and respected. Their choices should not subject them to discrimination or ridicule. Demands for tolerance by one group can never justify intolerance or ridicule of another.
